MyFonts’ Creative Characters Issue #52 highlights the work of Pintassilgo Prints: “They used to do it all: illustration, graphic design, product development, screen printing — hence the name of their company, PintassilgoPrints. Lately this young couple from the seaside city of Vitória, Brazil, has concentrated almost exclusively on type design. And quite rightly so. Adélia Borges, Bruno Porto and Fred Gelli are among the distinguished professionals and academics from more than 40 countries that will join “Design at the Edges: 2011 IDA Congress” in Taipei from 24-26 October. Curator and writer Borges will deliver a lecture on Latin American projects concerning social innovation; Gelli will present the Olympic Games Rio 2016 branding and participate as panellist in the session “Urbanism – Shaping Cities through Urban Design Strategies”; and Porto will be a Category Presenter for the 2011 Adobe Design Achievement Awards ceremony.
